MDI Group is seeking an Application Support Engineer for our client in Columbus, GA. The Application Support Engineer will provide Tier 2 to 3 support, as well as maintain the health of related applications, systems, services and devices. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, as well as providing status reports. This position will be exposed to a variety of software solutions in a team oriented, collaborative environment.

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • Experience supporting a broad range of applications used in a large enterprise environment
  • General Networking skills, routing and switching 
  • Understanding of the Server OS environment, Windows and some linux4
  • Experience with monitoring tools 
  • Debugging skills for multi-layer .Net apps - familiarity with IIS, ASP.net and MSSQL
  • Scripting experience - preferably Perl or Powershell
  • Knowledge of Group Policy Administration, Active Directory
  • Ability to read / translate / understand packet captures
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Must be able to read database scripts and logs
  • Must understand web services

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Degree is strongly preferred
  • Linux 
  • Experience supporting SalesForce or a similar CRM application
  • Experience with SOAP calls, HTTP Header traces
